Hog Hunting:This is in a major agricultural area, with lots of corn and wheat, interlaced by wooded creek bottoms, small woodlots and pasture land. Wild hogs are plentiful, and big! The county record is nearly 700 pounds. One trophy boar (2 inch cutters or over 200 pounds) and an UNLIMITED number of meat hogs may be taken at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! NOTE: even though this is a high WILD population of pigs, keep in mind that you are hunting FREE RANGE hogs. This is NOT a kill pen situation, and that means that you will most likely NOT shoot a truckload of them, but if you did, it wouldn't incur a single penny in additional harvest fees for meat hogs. Each added trophy boar over one is $150. Predators, like coyote and bobcat, may also be taken at no extra charge. You can also shoot any and all raccoons, opossum, skunk, civet or ringtail that you see.Morning and evening hunts are generally conducted from blinds (usually ground blinds, but some are elevated). Night hunts are from blinds, OR fully guided, safari style, on over 10,000 acres, using spotlights (that's legal in Texas). The choice is yours. Still hunting through the creek bottoms is also allowed, or spot and stalk style hunting is sometimes employed. All hog hunts include field care of hogs taken (gutting). Complete skinning, quartering and placement into your ice chest on your ice for transport is $20 to $100 per hog depending on size. Delivery to our local meat processor and/or taxidermist is only $25 per stop. You are responsible for processing and/or taxidermy fees, and shipping. . If you don't want the meat, hogs may be donated to local, needy families, and we'll take care of that for you, but there is a $50 per hog fee for processing and inspecting. All hogs shot must be taken with you, processed or donated as described above. We will NOT purposely leave hogs lay in the field. . PACKAGE HOG HUNTING SPECIAL! 3 day and 2 night package, from the afternoon of the first day, to after the morning hunt on the third day (up to 6 hunting sessions total), with meals, lodging, on ranch transportation, unlimited hogs, any and all varmints seen, assistance in game recovery and field gutting of hogs all included. ONLY $495 per person. There is a three person minimum for this pricing and hunts must occur between May 10 and August 25. You may book this hunt for other dates, or for smaller parties, at our regular price of $595 to $750 per person. One person is $750. Two are $650 each. Three or more are $595 each from August 26 to May 09. You can skin and quarter your animals at the lodge (be prepared to haul off unused body parts), or have us do it for $20 to $100 per hog, depending on the size of the hog. Trophy caping is an extra $20. Donating hogs is an option for $50 per hog to cover the inspection and processing required by Hunters for the Hungry Program. All hogs must be cleaned and taken with you, processed or donated. We will not leave hogs in the field to rot and be wasted. NOTE: kid's 14 and under pay half of the adult rates shown above for package hunts IF they sit with an adult the entire time. If they hunt in a separate blind, they pay full rate. When youth discounts are applied, the adults pay based on the number of adults and not the number of persons total. In other words, for a party of two adults and 2 youths, using just two blinds on a February hunt, the adults would pay $650 each, and the youths would be $325 each. Got it? . |

Duck and Goose Hunting:
We have access to a several managed wetlands on a 1000 acre piece of CRP, plus some soil conservation lakes and dozens of farm ponds for duck hunting, and several thousand acres of corn and wheat fields for goose hunting. . Waterfowl hunting pressure in the general area is very light compared to places like Katy or Eagle Lake. We also limit the number of hunters and hunts that we take each week so the birds aren't quite as spooky as they are elsewhere in Texas. . Depending on circumstances, goose loungers, lay out blinds, or waterproof parkas are provided for field shoots, to help keep you dry, and help blend you into the decoy spread. Comfortable, semi-pit blinds are generally used for duck hunts at the managed wetlands, but we also do some "wild" hunts when we must. . What this all means to you is: our decoyed bird action is still very strong, and our average birds on the strap per gun rivals any outfitter in the state. . On our normal waterfowl hunt, the guide meets you at about 4:30 a.m. at the local motel, our lodge, or a predesignated meeting spot. You follow him to the field or water in your vehicle. You assist in placing out decoys. You shoot any duck or goose that the guide calls the shot on from legal time to about 11:00 a.m. You assist in picking up decoys. Policy is to be out of the fields by noon to allow birds some time to get back into the area undisturbed, helping to assure that they are there for the next hunt. . We can deliver birds for mounting to our local taxidermist, but you are responsible for taxidermy fees and shipping. Otherwise, plan to take your other birds with you. There are no bird processors in the area. . |

$95 per adult gun day for opening day (September 01) through the following Monday (September 07) Hunt more and SAVE $: $180 per person for a 2 calendar day hunt. $260 per person for a three day hunt. This includes lunch each of these days. (usually our own barbequed meats and sides, but we may opt to do the local restaurant lunch special if only small numbers of hunters show up) . Call EARLY. Pheasant & Quail Hunting:. You may bring your own dogs or hunt over ours (champion pedigreed stock). With our dogs, we average over 90% presentation for shooting of birds. You just have to hit them! . Plan to take your birds with you or have us skin, not pluck, them for $2 per bird. Also, donated birds are readily accepted; we eat the heck out of them, and any over that we donate to a local charity wild game dinner. . |

Fishing: . This area is well known for great fishing. Cedar Creek Reservoir has many hybrid stripers and white bass. Lake Navarro Mills consistently ranks as one of the best crappie fishing lakes in the state. We also have access to a private lake that is well managed for largemouth bass and crappie. Hubbard Lakes is a pleasant place to run a fly or lure for numerous species. Catfish are usually hungry and plentiful everywhere except the managed bass lake. So, what do you want to catch? OR, maybe shoot instead of catch? The Brazos River and Aquilla Lake are both excellent bowfishing. We do it all here, and often, so we can put you on the fish. Give us a try. |

Lodging: . We can now offer lodging with your hunt, at a BIG, turn of the century, country style home that has been completely renovated. It is clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. There is heat, a/c, fully equipped kitchen, inside bathrooms with hot and cold water; in other words, all the regular comforts of home. My home anyway. Best of all, it's only $60 per person, per night to stay here. Meals can be arranged for groups.
